I'm sorry to hear you didn't identify with your last character, but I'm also glad you didn't just sit on how you felt about it. We'll get a feel for this new guy.

A few thoughts:
He claims to be aristocracy, but has no status levels. (aside from one free level from wealth) He would need a status of at least 4 to claim aristocracy. Refer to status levels in the creation guide and questionnaire.

If he is wealthy and well bred, he would likely have the educated advantage. You could even say he was a poor student and replace some of the skills with carousing and forgery.

What will he do in combat? What would he do on a ship? I'm hoping he is more than just a wealth utility for the party. Remember that the wealth he gets is his wealth, not party wealth. Real rich people are often reluctant to just give their wealth to all their family and friends.

Thank you Milamber for taking the time to go over the stats for the new guy. I will now go through and answer all the thoughts you had about the character

He claims to be aristocracy, but has no status levels.
Yes. I was thinking that his background is more aligned to the wealthy middle class instead of the aristocracy, but having status would probably be good for that too. His background is that he comes from a wealthy family of military officers and industrialists that are all tied into the arms industry. He may be the scion of wealthy industrialists, but I suppose that is status in and of itself.

If he is wealthy and well bred, he would likely have the educated advantage. You could even say he was a poor student and replace some of the skills with carousing and forgery.
You know, I thought about giving him the educated advantage as well. However, given his lazy disadvantage, I don't think it would quite work. This guy has military science as a professional skill because he went to the military academy for a few months and then was expelled because of his laziness. Then he traveled with the merchant side of his family for a while and picked up his merchant skills. There again he was kicked out because he didn't have the drive to be a merchant.  That's the reason I decided not to go with that advantage. But I think I will give him carousing and maybe forgery

What will he do in combat?
This guy does have skills in pistols and rapiers because he believes these weapons belong to the rich. He does however have the quirk that he does not like using guns for purposes he views as unsuitable. How he reacts will depend on what how the party decides to go about killing.

What would he do on a ship?
He does have quite a few merchant skills, so he could be a purser or something like that.(Provided you can get him off his butt to do anything productive.) The merchant skill is something I thought I added to his skill list, so I will go ahead and do that.

I'm hoping he is more than just a wealth utility for the party. Remember that the wealth he gets is his wealth, not party wealth. Real rich people are often reluctant to just give their wealth to all their family and friends.

Oh, there ain't a chance in Hades this guy is going to give the party money in exchange for nothing. He may be lazy but he does have a pretty good sense about what it takes to do good business with people. His selfish sense of importance and entitlement makes just about everyone, in his eyes, incredibly common and therefore unfit to share in his money. No, the party will have to come up with clever ways to tap into that resource. If they don't, then they shan't have any of mine. There won't be any compulsive weapon's spending using any of this guy's money.

Meet the Dead Rich Guy Empty Re: Meet the Dead Rich Guy

The hands in the red armor attacked him with merciless precision.

They snatched him while he walked with his companions down a street, silent and empty. They forced him into the alley and covered his mouth as they marched down the dimly lit corridor. They kicked aside cans splashed loudly through puddles with their struggling prey. He kicked and fought as best he could, but a life of indolence left him weak and open to their attack.

When they retreated far enough to where no one could hear, the hands unclamped from his mouth and tightened into fists. They hit him square in the jaw. Stunned by the blow he fell into a nearby wall, grasping it for support. Hands held him up and other hands did the beastly work. They broke his ribs and made him scream for breath; they scattered his teeth at every glancing blow; and they beat his eyes until they permanently shut in shades of purple. The fists rained merciless storms of pain and he could only stand helpless and endure it.

At length they ceased and let him go. He tumbled and fell to the frozen street next to a garbage can, two bottles of glass, and an empty tobacco case. His chin hit the pavement and he spit out two more teeth while his flailing limbs attempted to get him upright. His saliva, now thick with blood, pooled and congealed across the layers of ice crystals that permeated the ground. Though wobbling and uncoordinated, he struggled to his knees and peered ahead into the darkness.

His head swam in shock and disbelief; but in some small corner of his functioning mind, he could discern a figure in the alley's umbra regarding him.

"That's right. Just enough," it said. "You see, it must be this way. I've no other options."

The figure took a step forward;  the victim saw a glimmer of light dance across a black gun barrel.

The victim narrowed his eyes and recognized the thin voice. He knew who his executioner would be.

"Wo...woood...," he sputtered and coughed blood streaming through his split chin and onto his white suit.

A shot, clear and audible, rang clear through the alleyway. Two birds launched into flight at the report.

"The same," the voice said lowering his smoking weapon to his side.

"The very same."
