What Happened in the Game on 20170311.

As my first order of business I'd like to propose we name our new ship The Mata Hari, primarily because That Damn Back-Stabbing Bitch Who Turned On Me At The Most Inopportune Time is already registered to someone out of New Albion. Other suggestions would include The Judas, The Brutus, and, a very close contender, The Benedict Arnold. I like that last one the best, but since the Virtual Interface appears female I thought the other name more fitting. Maybe The Mystique...

Good point. Since so much control is out of our hands in this situation, it appears very likely that we'll be prisoners of the Imperium whether we like it or not.

What happened last game is puzzling for one reason. Why would Colonial Navy Command, knowing full well what we have sentient A.I.s in group, give us a ship with protocols that would act take this course of action? Perhaps I missed something, but I thought the brass knew about Becky and Standing Wave.

The only thing I can think of is this: that there is someone or some group in the Colonial Navy who wants us and what we know in the hands of the enemy.

As for my character, I'm pretty sure he's been incapacitated by our computer. I mean, he's in the engine room; the one place that could mess up the computer's plans for sending us somewhere. It would be stupid for the computer to not to recognize this and neutralize the threat.

Yep they were told several times.

Regarding the computer, she's designed at mid to late tier tl 11 (12 3rd ed) by some of the best imperial developers. The colonies are at begining tl 11 (12), and so are behind the curve. They thought they had the program subverted but weren't quite good enough to do it entirely.

The VI (virtual intelligence) program is large and installed in one of the three computers on the bridge. I'll give you in game knowledge the Standing Wave is delligently working to subvert her or delete her program.

But do we know which one she's on and what is on which computer? For instance, if we shut her off will we also lose life support and propulsion?

Well each computer can run all the ships corr functions. One computer usually has the best gunnery software. Another of the ones on this ship runs the advanced sensore suit. Corona is on the third. Shes an advanced program that has all the skills needed for the ship at skill 12 (pilot, nav, sensors, comms, engineer, mechanic, gunner, security, armorer) and comp programming and operation at effective 16.
