Eric's Dungeons and Dragons campaign
Here is a link to a YouTube playlist breaking down all of the classes and archetypes available. He does a really good job of laying things out in a simple way, I would highly recommend everyone watch some of these particularly for any class that you might find interesting before we start.

Re: Eric's Dungeons and Dragons campaign
Just a few questions, sir.
Are we solid on 5th Ed? I'd prefer to use GURPS over 5th Ed, and you've all had to listen to my rants about that. You've all played Fantasy GURPS extensively and would not need to slow down for rule clarifications or character guidance. Especially with this being a short campaign that should last less than half a dozen sessions I would suggest that sticking with a system most everyone knows would be very helpful in keeping the story moving.
My system suggestions aside, if we stick with 5E here are my questions:
Are we making characters at the first game session or do you want us to have made them already?
What are the parameters for character creation? Available races? Stat generation method? Starting level? Starting wealth/equipment? Allowed supplemental writings? Banned substances/doping regulations?
Does anyone have a burning desire to play a specific class? Lets collaborate on what we want to play so we have a balanced party. 5E has very few skills/special abilities per character and not having an area covered can lead to a lot of frustrations.
Do we have a specific D&D setting or generic fantasy world A La Eric? Races and political relations between them vary greatly from setting to setting.
Thanks Eric for putting this together. Looking forward to playing in one of your Halloween Campaigns.

Re: Eric's Dungeons and Dragons campaign
I also have the 5e Player's Handbook and several other books on PDF. If you want them just bring a flash drive and I will give you a copy.

Re: Eric's Dungeons and Dragons campaign
Eric is insistent that we do 5th edition I've already talked to him about converting it to a gurps campaign but he said no. This is going to be the old school ravenloft module so vampires and Undead. Will be doing character creation at the game.

And also for some reason Eric felt it important to mention that he wants us all to play good alignment characters. I don't know why he have to bring up that since when do we ever play Bad Guys

Re: Eric's Dungeons and Dragons campaign
My interest is playing a paladin Barbarian or sorcerer depending on what the group makeup is like. Of course that depends on how well I roll... Oh boy I CAN'T wait for random character generation stats...

Re: Eric's Dungeons and Dragons campaign
Thanks Alex. I'm planning on playing either a rogue or a ranger. I'd rather play a rogue, but I'd be happy to make the party more balanced if someone else really wanted to play a rogue.

Fortune From Madam Eva
As you wait expectantly further down the road, you see Delvin, the scout, calmly walk out of the large, square tent and move toward you. He seems deep in thought and waves off any questions. He quickly walks to Valor and silently takes his backpack back. After rummaging for a moment he pulls out a tube of paper and stick of charcoal.
Delvin mutters to himself as he franticly scribbles on the paper. After a few minutes of furious work he stands and reads:
"Fortune From Madam Eva
This Card tells of History - Knowledge of the Ancient will help you better understand your enemy if you ever hope to escape this land.
WARRIOR – That which you seek lies in the womb of darkness the Devil’s lair the one place he must return. You will need it before you face him.
This card tells of a powerful force for good and protection a holy symbol of great hope:
ILLUSIONIST – A man is not what he seems he comes here in a carnival wagon. Therein lies what you seek.
This card is a card of power and strength. It tells of a weapon of vengeance, a sword of sunlight.
AVENGER – The treasure lies in a dragon’s house. In hands once clean, now corrupted.
This card tells of the enemy of your enemy. An ally who may be found to stand with you at the last.
DUNJON – Search for a troubled young man surrounded by wealth and madness. His home is his prison.
This last card tells you where you will be able to find the Devil and confront him at the last.
MISTS – The cards cannot tell where the Devil lurks. You will have to find him on your own."
With an exhausted sigh he is finished. "That is all she told me. Quickly, you must all go back and try to get her to tell your fortune as well! Beg if you must, but the information you gather may be the dfference between life and death for all of us!"

I'm playing this girl....
I see. It's painfully obvious that most of this elf girl's AC lies in bulletproof nudity.
